Me, My Dream, My Philosophy

I am an Artist. I am a mommy, a wife, a daughter, sister and a friend.

I have a Masters Degree in Experiential Health and Healing, a Bachelors in Art Therapy and have worked for the last 12 years as a Medical Education Professional.

I have used art as a tool my whole life to help move through and transform painful experiences.

I believe art and and creativity are tools everyone can use to empower and transform themselves.

Through my own creative process, I developed the ability to trust my intuition and overcome a cycle of abuse, low self-worth, abandonment and body images issues.

After many years of self-doubt and unhealthy habits, I have become more mindful, vibrant and happiest I have ever been.

Most importantly, I have a Creative Dream.

This dream began as a small drawing in one of my journals. During one of my darkest times, a small drawing of encouragement I called "Spirit Women" or "Soul Sister". Her appearance in my journal allowed me to open up a dialogue about empowerment, my sexuality and finding my voice. I did not know at the time, at least not consciously that this symbol was a Goddess. This one simple drawing stirred up numerous conversations about setting boundaries as women, honoring my feminine values and finding a way to help myself and other women like me. As I was addressing my own pains, I was constantly aware of the women around me who were also suffering.

I want to create a space in the spirit of sisterhood. I dream it to be a place where women can come to nurture and free their unique minds, bodies, and spirits. A place they will come, to retreat and be support by other women in a judgement free safe environment-a sacred space of soulfulness.

I truly believe when we take responsibility for our own growth and healing and seek opportunities to reconnect us with our inner wise-self (or intuition) we cam transform our pains into treasures and live healthier balance lives.
